Employee Spotlight: Lisa Tupy

Meet Lisa Tupy. As one of our art directors, she creates amazing graphics for branded merchandise and design projects, and also kicks some insane ass on the volleyball court.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: It's so much fun to get to work with such a talented group of creatives. Our team has such a broad range of skills that there is always something new to learn! We get to work with some pretty kick ass clients & brands.

Q: Who had the most influence over you?

A: Definitely my mom. She has always been such a good role model of a strong, loving, working woman. She pushed me to pursue my dreams and do what I love. She has owned a women's clothing store for 20 years, so my passion for apparel and merchandise began at a very early age!

Q: What color best represents your personality and how does that color make you feel?

A: Let's go with green. It's fun and lively yet still very earthy and grounded.

Q: How would your best friends or family describe you in three words?

A: Outgoing & thoughtful, yet occasionally sarcastic.

Q: What is your favorite activity to do locally and why?

A: Of course all of the hiking Colorado has to offer, but I also play a ton of volleyball! When I first moved to Colorado 8 years ago, I started playing leagues through a great organization called Volleyball of the Rockies (VOTR). And now it has become an obsession, I usually play 2-3 nights a week, either coed 4s or women's doubles. In the summer, we love to travel to mountain towns to play the mountain volleyball tournaments they put on, and hang out with all the great friends we have made through the leagues.

Q: What is your favorite local restaurant?

A: Audrey Jane's Pizza Garage, you can't beat their lunch combo of a slice and delicious salad. Guy Fieri put it best, "It's a one way ticket straight to flavortown!"

Q: Best concert you have ever attended?

A: One of my favorite Indie bands right now is Rainbow Kitten Surprise (hold your judgment on the name - go straight to Youtube and give 'em a sample). We just saw them at the Ogden in Denver, it was such a great live show in a small venue. But favorite EVER, I would have to say Mumford and Sons at Red Rocks about 5 years ago. It was the perfect music and atmosphere.

Q: Favorite Netflix show to binge watch?

A: I'll take a little liberty on this one and go with an HBO show (thanks for the password Mom), but Game of Thrones. 2019 can not come soon enough, until then I will continue to rewatch seasons 1-7.

Q: Where's your favorite place in the world?

A: Oh gosh, this is a hard one because I love traveling so much. I studied abroad in Rome, so Italy will always be a special place to me. But in Colorado, I would say Steamboat Springs - it's the perfect mix of mountain and western culture, in summer or winter time.

Q: Secret talent?

A: I'm not an expert green thumb yet, but the last couple years I've been picking up gardening! This year I planted tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, green onions, tomatillos, peppers, and basil. Most of my garden success is due to our watch dog that keeps the bunnies out, our golden retriever Maude.
